Today was a struggle for me in many ways. First, we didn't get home from the Bucs game until 12:30 last night and I had one too many drinks. Whenever I do drink, which isn't very often, I can't sleep at night. So I was running on 3 hours of sleep and dehydrated this morning.
My mom and I decided to leave WisteriaLane and try it out on our own again. We really had fun and became such a great team last time we weren't in a group, so it will be nice to do that again, with no pressure of launches or drama. You will be able to find us on eBay by searching "Boutique MK" once these other listings end this week with WisteriaLane in the title. We do wish all of our other former groupmates the best of luck in their new ventures as well.
Mallory had her 4-year old check-up today, which I mistakenly warned her about a few days ago. This is a BIG trip to the doctor. Hearing test, finger prick, pee in a cup, a flu mist up the nose and FIVE shots!!!!!! I wasn't shocked when the nurse told me that Mallory failed her hearing test in both ears, as she is always talking so loud and saying "What?!" "What?!", but I was shocked when the doctor told me she probably failed because she has double ear infections. I should be nominated for Mom of the Year for that. Jack was with us too, as he needed to get his flu shot, so she checked in his ears. Sure enough, double ear infection. Neither one of them have any cold symptoms or fevers, so who knows how long they had these infections! Mallory has to go back in a month and if the infection isn't cleared up, we are off to see an ENT doctor. What fun!

New Boys Christmas Listing
Sorry I'm a few days late on posting this... I've had too many nights of not enough sleep and it's wearing on me... And we are going to the Bucs game tonight that starts at 8:00, so we won't be home until 1am or so...sigh...
This sweet little boy's Christmas Reindeer set is a perfect match to the girl's set we listed last week. You can find it on eBay by clicking here.

So the lucky post to win the t-shirt was #21, CJ's Mommy Kimberly. Please send us an email through eBay and we'll get all the details worked out.
We had a pumpkin play date on Friday which was so much fun. I'll try to post pictures of that later on if I can keep my eyes open.

Time for a giveaway again
I have been sewing since 8:30 this morning and just took a break to go to the grocery store, as we didn't have anything to eat for dinner or for breakfast tomorrow! I thought I was going to have the little boy reindeer set finished this afternoon to list tonight, but it just didn't happen. I tried to put the shirt over Jack's head and it wouldn't fit! Out came the seam ripper AGAIN! It's going to be SO cute getting the kids pictures again in the matching sets. I hope I get some good ones.
Since I'm going to be making a couple more turkey t-shirts for the kids teachers in a few weeks, I thought it would be fun to giveaway a turkey shirt here! Once again, Mallory has already chosen the magic post #, so once it's reached, we will have our winner! The winner will be able to chose from a brown or white, short or long sleeve t-shirt (girls, boys or adult sizes), with either a corduroy turkey (shown below on Jack) or the word "GOBBLE" appliqued on the front. You may enter as many times as you want too.
Good luck!

Goin' Green
We just listed this sweet little Euro set for WisteriaLane's Goin' Green launch today. You can find the listing by clicking here.

I was honored to attend a Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon today at the lovely Bellview Biltmore Hotel. It was called Caring Times and raised money for women to received mammograms that do not have insurance. To date, they have performed over 5,000 mammograms and diagnosed 88 cases of breast cancer. Breast cancer has intruded too many women in my family, including my mom, Kandy, and my aunt, Sally. Due to early detection, they are both doing great! Please remember to do your monthly self exams and make those yearly appointments with your doctors!!

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
When I was in the middle of making this new set for a guest launch we were invited to, I had to ask my groupmates which of Santa's reindeer were girls. I knew that Rudolph was, but I never knew that ALL of the reindeer were girls!!!
Here is what my sweet friend, Kathy, found for me: Reindeer experts say that while both male and female reindeer grow antlers every summer, the males drop theirs by early December — which means, given that the reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve are always depicted with full sets of antlers, that every one of them, even Rudolph, must be a girl!
SO I MADE THEM ALL GIRLS for this sweet Christmas set we just listed tonight on eBay.
You can find the listing by clicking here.

Mallory's soccer team finally won a game this weekend. They were in a little drought there for a while. Mallory also scored her first goal, which was so exciting for all of us. Nate went with my dad up to Gainesville to the Florida-LSU game on Saturday. What a terrific game that was for the Gators! My sister and Sydney are at home now and doing well. I can't wait to see her again soon!

It's a GIRL!!!
Baby Sydney was born on Thursday, October 9th weighing in at 8lbs 3oz, 21.5 inches long and LOTS of brown hair! She came out so quickly, that her sweet little face was bruised. She's doing great and will be going home tomorrow afternoon. I've been to the hospital 3 times to see her and I can't get enough of her!
Here she is with Grandma "Gammie" Kandy, and Aunt Kacey.

Here she is with her big brother, Kyle and big sister, Morgan.

This is Sydney and her BIG cousins!!!

And the winner is.....

Linda of lil-qt-pie!! We had a little contest going on for our mailing list members, and Linda will be designing her own custom set consisting of either an appliqued t-shirt and twirl skirt, or a knit hoodie and leggings for her little sweetie! There were a total of over 1400 entries in the contest over the past 6 weeks, which is just amazing to us...BUT it was NOT fun cutting out all 1400+ names! It gave me something to do while I was listening to the Presidential Debate :-)
Congratulations, Linda! We are so excited to work with you on your set!
Favorite Find on Etsy
I am just in love with this little tin gift set that I found over on Etsy.
What a perfect gift for yourself, friend or family member for Christmas.
I'm just searching for the right picture of my kids and I will be getting one for myself!
You can find the listing here. The best part is the incredibly reasonable price for all of us trying to pinch our pennies this year!

Mallory has her first "drop off" birthday party this Friday. It's hard to believe that she is old enough to go to a birthday party by herself. The theme is a "Sleepless Sleepover", so she is supposed to wear her pajammas and bring a sleeping bag. We had to go out today and buy some High School Musical pajammas and a High School Musical sleeping bag. She is so excited about the party!! Now, if I could only find someone to watch Jack while she is at the party so Nate and I could enjoy a nice peaceful dinner together.
On another exciting note, I'm going to be an aunt for the 5th time on Thursday. My sister is having her labor induced Thursday morning. This will be her third child. She has a son, Kyle, who is 13, and a daughter, Morgan, who is 9. She is going to be in for a shock with a new baby in the house, that's for sure! I'll be sure to post pictures Thursday night of her sweet little girl!

Gobble! Gobble!
We just listed these adorable matching brother and sister Thanksgiving sets. You can find them by clicking here.

I just LOVE this picture of the kids together. You wouldn't know it from the pictures, but they were being very difficult when we were taking pictures for these sets. Maybe a little too much candy that day...

We also listed this 3-pc sample set from last year. It has a great Buy It Now price!!

Our weekend was really nice. We went to a little sports bar Friday night to cheer on our Tampa Bay Rays baseball team. Mallory had a soccer game early Saturday morning and then we shuffled off to a birthday party for a few hours. We had our Sunday morning donuts and then were off to another birthday party. Nate took the kids fishing this afternoon so I could work on the computer for a few hours. The weather has been so refreshingly cool here in the mornings and evenings so we were planning on taking a little walk to night, but I see some much needed rain clouds out my window, so we will probably just watch some football instead...
I hope everyone had a nice weekend too!

Hump Day!
Since last week, Mallory has asked when October was going to be here, as I told her that we could decorate for Halloween once it was October. She got in the car after school and proceeded to tell me that today was October 1st and it's time to decorate! I'll post pictures of the finished product tomorrow when it's complete.
I took the kids over to one of the parks that we take pictures at to help Mallory with her show-and-tell project for the week. Every week, her class is working on a different letter of the alphabet, and this week it's "F". We saw a bunch of bird and duck feathers at the park when we were taking pictures on Monday, so we took our brown paper bags and marshmellows and went on a feather hunt. Of course we could find only ONE feather when we went looking for them, but the kids did find lots of other things to fill up their bags with and we ran into Katie our neighbor!

I love this picture, as it makes Mallory look so tiny.

Also, Nate's boss asked us if we would be interested in his son's playground set, as he's getting too old to play with it. Of course we were interested in it!! The landscaper put it together Tuesday night and the kids LOVE it!
